Grilled PB&J

Ingredients:

2 slices of your choice of bread (I used Wonder bread)

2 Tbsp creamy peanut butter

1 Tbsp grape jelly

1 Tbsp cinnamon honey butter

Directions:

Spread a generous layer of creamy peanut butter on one slice of bread and grape jelly on the other. Press the two slices together to form the sandwich.

Heat a skillet or flat-top grill over medium heat. Add a scoop of Chef Scout’s Cinnamon Honey Butter and allow it to melt, coating the cooking surface.

Place the PB&J sandwich into the melted butter and gently move it around to coat the bottom slice. Add a little more cinnamon honey butter to the pan if needed, then flip the sandwich and coat the other side.

Cook until both sides are golden brown, crisp, and the filling is warmed through.

Remove from the heat and allow the sandwich to rest for a minute before slicing in half.

Serve warm with a cold glass of milk and enjoy.

Chef Scout Recon Tip: The difference between a grilled sandwich and a great grilled sandwich is the fat you cook it in. Butter creates the golden crust, while the cinnamon and honey add another layer of flavor that turns a childhood favorite into a grown-up comfort classic.
