Loco Moco

Ingredients:

2 eggs fried sunny side up

2 cups cooked white rice

For the patties:

1 lb 80/20 ground beef

3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 Tbsp Chef Scout’s “all-in -one’ seasoning

For the gravy:

3 Tbsp unsalted butter

1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms

3 Tbsp cup all-purpose flour

1 cup beef broth

1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 Tbsp soy sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

Season ground beef with the Worcestershire sauce and Chef Scout’s seasoning and mix it into the meat. Make 4 patties of even size and season again with Chef Scout’s seasoning. Cook in frying pan until desired internal temperature. Take out of pan and clean it, add butter and melt.

Sauté chopped mushrooms until golden brown. Add flour and stir for 2-3 minutes.  Add beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Simmer until thickened. Set aside

Fry an egg however you like (sunny side up is traditional) and plate!

First the rice then the patty, next is the mushroom sauce and last top with a fried egg! Garnish with chives or green onion.
